Whether you are currently employed in a faith-based career and want to further your education and understanding, or you are just beginning on a path to a future ministry career, the AOE Christian Studies program will give you the foundational tools and knowledge you need. The programs focus on developing a core understanding of biblical studies, church history, basic beliefs of Christian faith, ethics, and theology.

Many of our AOE students come to our programs because they have a ministry calling and afterward, continue their education in divinity school. Others come to develop a deeper understanding of faith and Christian beliefs and the role they play in every aspect of life. Whichever program option you choose, you will find new ways to explore your faith, discern your calling to a faith-based career, and come to a stronger and richer understanding of your beliefs.

The AOE Christian Studies program provides you with a broad knowledge base in foundational subjects relevant to faith, theology, and research. In addition to the comprehensive curriculum, in the online and adult education program, you will:

• Customize your Christian studies education with options that enable you to choose the degree or certificate that best meets your personal and career goals.
• Benefit from maximum flexibility of an online Christian studies degree and an asynchronous format that allows you to take your classes when and where it is convenient. 
• Leverage a program that allows you to incorporate Christian studies while taking courses in other majors or degree programs.
• Learn from courses taught by our main campus faculty, allowing you to benefit at AOE from the same high-quality Campbell Christian Studies campus experience.
• Study with faculty who combine active ministry work and pastoral experience with expertise in both classroom and online instruction.
• Access a vast network of churches looking for help and pastoral mentors through our partnership with the Campbell Divinity School. Students looking to serve will find opportunities and a practicum is recommended, though not required.
• Benefit from accelerated 8-week terms that allow you to complete your degree sooner and put your new skills to work faster.
