Communication Program Overview

As the field of communication continues to evolve, AOE’s curriculum provides a broad approach that prepares you with the skills to be successful in a variety of communication-related careers and roles in almost any organization.

You have the opportunity to customize your bachelor’s degree by selecting one of four AOE Communication Studies tracks: generalist, public relations, training and development and public and interpersonal communications in a curriculum that allows you the time to take other courses of interest.

Communication Studies Degree Tracks - AOE

Prepare for careers in broadcast journalism or media relations and acquire communication skills applicable to multiple industries and roles. Hone writing, critical thinking, presentation, and oral communication skills.

An introduction to the fundamentals of homeland security and the humanities/social sciences culminating in an Associate of Science degree that provides workplace-ready skills or opportunities to transfer to a bachelor’s degree.
